2006 Rhythm & Roots Festival...

September 15th, 16th and 17th - La Leche League of Bristol provided a Baby Care & Comfort Station for those attending the Rhythm & Roots Festival. Many families were able to change soiled diapers and feed hungry babies in a cozy tented area. Our efforts were well received and we plan to provide this service at future R&R Reunions. Thank you for another great year!

2006 World Breastfeeding Week Events...

August 12th, 2006 - The second annual Bristol Baby Fair was a great success. The LLL of Bristol group once again joined forces with the YWCA of Bristol to bring this special event to our area. Many of the local families were able to see what the Bristol area has to offer the family through gift bags (first 400 families), vendors, giveaways, demonstrations, and more. The LLL of Bristol group would like to give a sincere thanks to all those who participated in this years' event.

August 5th, 2006 - We had a wonderful Walk & Stroll for Breastfeeding event on the 5th. We would like to thank all of the participants, volunteers, and those who donated items to the silent auction. The theme for World Breastfeeding Week this year is: "Code Watch: 25 Years of Protecting Breastfeeding".

2005 Rhythm & Roots Festival....

September 16th, 17th, 18th, 2005 - La Leche League of Bristol presented the first Baby Care & Comfort Station at this years' Bristol Rhythm & Roots Festival on State Street in Bristol TN/VA. We sucessfully provided a cozy area where parents could attend to the needs of their babies. There was a diaper changing station, as well as a comfortable area for mothers to breastfeed and sooth their babies. We really enjoyed providing this service during the festival.

2005 World Breastfeeding Week Events...

July 30, 2005 - The LLL of Bristol group joined forces with the YWCA of Bristol and hosted the first Bristol Baby Fair! Our theme was "The Best for Your Baby". We invited vendors in and surrounding the Bristol TN/VA area to attend and help support our efforts to increase breastfeeding awareness in our community. We feel that the event was a huge success and look forward to considering making this a yearly event. Thank you to all who volunteered their time and materials to help pull it all together!

August 6, 2005 - We had a very successful World Breastfeeding Walk which began and ended at the Bristol downtown mural. The location was perfect and much appreciated. Our group was enthusiastic as we received news coverage from channel 5 as we began our 5K walk. The LLL of Bristol group would like to thank all those who helped make the walk a success through donations of time, support, and money
